WELCOME TO THE ENGINE2019 WINTER SCHOOL (Grenoble, France) Eco-efficient and safer energy production and storage are key issues for our society. All-solid-state electrochemical energy conversion devices such as batteries, supercapacitors, fuel cells, and electrolyzers are of interest thanks to their outstanding performances, durabillity, and safety. Finely understanding all the phenomena at stake in these devices within the active materials and at the interfaces is of importance. In this context, the grEnoble eNerGy conversIoN & storagE (ENGINE2019) Winter School offers a theoretical and practical training related to architectured materials and electrochemistry across all relevant length scales(from local (nm) to bulk (cm)). ENGINE2019 will takes place in Grenoble (France) from Monday, February 25 to Friday, March 1st 2019. The school is open to students (PhDs, post-doctoral fellows), researchers, engineers, and technicians from academia and industry interested to get a deeper theoretical and practical knowledge on materials science for energy applications. For its first edition, ENGINE2019 will focus on few Key Enabling Technologies (KETs) and related devices:
ENGINE2019 is organized by a team of internationally-recognized scientists of Grenoble are specialized in materials science and electrochemistry from: - LEPMI: Laboratoire d’Electrochimie et de Physico-chimie des Matériaux et des Interfaces (CNRS, Grenoble-INP, UGA, USMB). The school is divided into:
